The Red-White Flag could soon fly again in the international arena. Legend Indonesian National team Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto welcome happy.
Indonesia can’t fly its proud flag after sanctions World Doping Agency (WADA) last year. This is because LADI has failed to fulfill its obligations regarding doping tests.
But, because of hard work Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and the WADA Sanctions Acceleration Task Force Team led by King Sapta OktohariThe sanctions will reportedly be lifted in February.
This can not be separated from the performance of the Task Force which is intense in establishing communication with WADA. As a result, the sanctions that were originally a year can be reduced to less than six months.
This is what makes Kurniawan as a former Indonesian national team player in the 90s happy not playing. Because, he was sad when the Indonesian flag could not be flown when he appeared in the 2020 AFF Cup.
Moreover, flying the Red and White is a pride for every Indonesian athlete in a big event.
“First of all, Alhamdulillah because in the end all Indonesian athletes can fly the Red and White flag at all events. Because for us former athletes as well as current athletes, flying the Red and White flag is something that can motivate athletes, a pride that is second to none,” said Kurniawan who had just been trusted to become the Assistant Coach of Serie B Club Como 1907 in a release to detikSport.
The man who is also familiarly called Si Skinny expressed his gratitude to all those who have persistently fought for the release of the sanctions.
“Thank you to all those who have worked hard to fight for the Red and White flag to finally fly again,” he continued.
Finally, the man who was born in Magelang on July 13, 1976 asked Indonesia in the future not to be negligent in carrying out its doping test obligations, especially LADI and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This is because incidents like this have embarrassed the name of the nation in the eyes of the international community as well as injured the athletes who have fought so hard.
“Hopefully this will be the last lesson, so that in the future we always obey and carry out the procedures regarding this doping. So that there will be no more sanctions like this,” he concluded. Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto.
