The famous Croatian basketball player Toni Kukočs shared memories about how he had to go to parties with his scandalous teammate Denis Rodman in the 1990s.
Rodman and Cookoc were once important players in the famous Chicago Bulls, represented by greats such as Michael Jordan and Scotland PipenHowever, Rodman was known not only as a great player, but also as a real party “beast”.
“It’s a special story – I can’t keep up with him,” Cooks concludes. “I was partying with him only once, because then I needed a 7-10 day recovery period…”
“Once we went to the bar at four, but Dennis called everyone and we could get food and drinks for free,” Cooko recalled the crazy party with Rodman. “The first thing he ordered was 40 scots with vodka and 10 cups of beer. I asked if anyone would join us, but Rodman replied that it was important for him to keep the bar open at all times. “
“Dennis is a great person and he treated others fantastically, but not himself. Maybe that’s why he couldn’t find the right balance, “Kukočs said.
1997/98 During the 2006 season, Rodman said he needed 48 hours of off-team rest and, given that he was an important Bulls player, head coach Phil Jackson and leader Jordan respected Rodman’s request.
The basketball player went to nightclubs to have fun with Carmen Electric and, of course, was not back in the team after 48 hours. At the time, Jordan himself went to Las Vegas to pick up Rodman to “gather” his teammate.
Jordan didn’t mind, knowing that Rodman simply needed it to continue performing in the Bulls.
