KTM 890 Adventure 2021. Features and photos – News

With the new KTM 890 Adventure the previous 790 series is retiring.

An advance was made less than two weeks ago with the new 890 Adventure R e 890 Adventure R Rally (in limited series) and now KTM announces the arrival of the 890 Adventure standard that will be available in dealerships starting in the month of December in version 2021 ed Euro 5.

Evolution of the 790 Adventure, just arrived in 2019, the new 890 is powered by the 889cc LC8c engine which sees power rise to 105 cavalli (before they were 95) and the couple a 100 Nm.
I 90 cc of additional cubic capacity (from the previous 799 cc) were supported by a new crankshaft with masses increased by 20% to make torque delivery smoother. Then comes one clutch perfected and strengthened for superior performance.

The suspensions WP APEX they offer an excursion of 200 mm, while the monoshock features a new rebound damping register and a knob to adjust the spring preload in a more comfortable and practical way.
The new subframe rear is lighter and stronger, to support the passenger and luggage.

The bike is equipped with a complete electronic package: cornering ABS, three maps to adjust the Cornering Traction Control (in addition, the optional Rally mode is available) and engine torque adjustment during release (also optional).

The riding position is inspired by the bikes that race in Rally, with the tank from 20 liters tight between the knees and downward (as seen on the 790). The bike is equipped with Adventure specific tires, a display TFT interfacciabile with your smartphone to manage your playlist and incoming calls and, thanks to the KTM MY RIDE app, you can navigate point by point.

Numerous accessories are available, including cruise control (with the handlebar switch now standard), Quickshifter + (with optimized settings), heated saddle and grips, numerous combinations of panniers and tank bags.
