Kremlin on Moldova: They are going to extremes with the anti-Russian hysteria

The Russian Federation continues to perform its functions in Transnistria “responsibly” and “advises” the Moldovan authorities to “exercise caution” in relation to the Russian military, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, Stiripesurse reported.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Rechan, said that the demilitarization of Transnistria and the withdrawal of Russian troops from there was necessary, as, according to him, Moscow was trying to influence the democratic processes in Moldova.

Russia has been and is very responsible for Transnistrian issues, it continues to fulfill this function,” Peskov said

Moldova is going “to the extreme with anti-Russian hysteria” when its leadership calls for the demilitarization of Transnistria, Peskov added.

“Our relations with Moldova are already very strained. The Moldovan leadership focuses on everything anti-Russian, falling into anti-Russian hysteria. Such a lack of constructivism can hardly help Moldova itself and our bilateral relations,” said Dmitry Peskov.

“Our Moldovan colleagues would like to recommend us to be very, very careful with such statements,” Peskov said.
