KPK Names Bogor Regent Ade Yasin Suspect of Bribing BPK Auditors

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bogor Regent Ade Yasin as a suspect in bribery related to the management of financial statement audits in the Bogor Regency Government.

Ade was named a suspect with the District Public Works Public Works Department Secretary. Bogor Maulana Adam, Head of Sub-Division of Regional Treasury BPKAD Kab. Bogor Ihsan Ayatullah, and PPK at the District PUPR Service. Bogor Rizki Taufik.

In addition, the KPK has also appointed four employees of the West Java Representative Audit Board (BPK) to become the auditor team for examining the Bogor Regency Government’s financial statements.

They are Anthon Merdiansyah as BPK Representative for West Java/Head of Sub Auditorate Jabar III/Technical Controller, Arko Mulawan as BPK Representative for West Java/Chairman of the Interim Audit Team for Kab. Bogor, Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita as an employee of the West Java Representative BPK/Examiner, Gerri Ginajar Trie Rahmatullah as an employee of the West Java Representative BPK/Examiner.

“The suspect is the giver of AY (Ade Yasin) to the Regent of Bogor Regency for 2018-2023,” said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at a press conference at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday (28/4/2022) early in the morning.

Firli explained the role of Bogor Regent Ade Yasin in this bribery case. The case stems from Ade’s desire that the Bogor Regency Government’s financial reports again achieve the unqualified predicate (WTP).

Ade previously received a report that the Bogor Regency Government’s financial reports were bad and could have an impact on conclusions disclaimer.

Ade also asked that the Bogor Regency Government should return to winning the WTP title. This then made Ade’s subordinates move to collusion with the West Java Representative BPK auditors to smooth out the WTP predicate.

The audit team from the beginning was prepared and conditioned only to examine certain SKPDs that did not make the Bogor Regency Government’s financial reports bad.

However, in carrying out the audit, the SKPD examined by the BPK auditor also found irregularities in the road construction project in the Pakansari area worth Rp. 96.4 billion at the PUPR Service.
