Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a sting operation (OTT) in Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday (11/4).
KPK deputy chairman Nurul Ghufron confirmed the news of the red-handed operation.
“It’s true that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has been active in arresting hands this afternoon in Semarang and Jakarta. While we are still investigating, please be patient after it is clear what the case is, we will provide more complete information,” said Nurul Ghufron, Tuesday (11/4).
Source CNNIndonesia.com Internally, the KPK said OTT was related to allegations of bribery from the private sector to commitment-making officials (PPK) in Central Java regarding work packages tender track layout (TLO) Tegal Station.
According to information from this source, investigators also secured around Rp. 350 million in evidence, an ATM with a balance of around Rp. 300 million, and Rp. 900 million in cash which is suspected of being given to local officials. At least four people were also arrested.
“Currently they are still being questioned at the Semarang Polrestabes,” said the source.
