Kovid Vaccination: The Center may decide on the availability of one vaccine per booth, depending on availability

New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has recommended that only one vaccine be used at a vaccination center set up for Kovid vaccination. Kovacsino or Kovishildo can decide which of these is available depending on availability. The second injection should be the same as the first injection. By Saturday, 3,000 vaccination centers will be set up in the country. It will increase to 5,000 next month, the Union Health Ministry said.

Meanwhile, the Kovid vaccine, which has been delivered to three regional centers in the state, will be distributed to district centers from today. Delivery is by air conditioning. The vaccination is from the next day. The refrigeration system is fully equipped. The Kovshield vaccine was delivered to Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode regional centers at a temperature of 2 to 8 C.

The vaccine will be distributed from the regional center in Thiruvananthapuram to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts. From Kochi it will reach Ernakulam district, Idukki, Kottayam, Palakkad and Thrissur districts. The vaccine will be distributed from Kozhikode center to Kannur, Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Malappuram and Wayanad districts. Ernakulam district has the highest number of vaccines available at 73000 doses. Less in Kasargod district, 6860 dose.

Now it is time to wait for the vaccine. Vaccination will be given at 133 centers from Saturday. More than 100 vaccination centers will be set up in each district as more vaccines become available. The second dose should be taken 28 days after the first dose. The next phase of the vaccine will reach Kerala in the first week of February.
