A soldier Kostrad Lettu AAP diduga immoral actions to several male soldiers who were his subordinates in one of the units in the South Tangerang area.
This information was confirmed by the Head of Information for Kostrad Colonel Inf Hendhi Yustian. Hendhi said the soldier had run away, but had surrendered.
“The person concerned handed himself over to the unit, the unit immediately handed him over to investigators,” said Hendhi when contacted, Thursday (21/9).
Hendhi said the soldier has now been detained at Denpom Jaya 1/Tangerang for further processing.
On the other hand, he said investigators were still examining several witnesses to determine how many victims there were of the perpetrator’s actions.
“Investigators are currently examining witnesses to confirm this,” he said.
Hendhi said the perpetrator was threatened with additional sanctions in the form of dismissal if proven to have committed the crime.
“If it is proven, the person concerned will be punished with the additional penalty of dismissal from military service, in addition to the punishment for immorality,” he said.
