Konami promises to fix eFootball after the hatred on Steam

The ball is square and does not roll at all for Konami.

Konami’s popular football game series PES has, as is well known, changed its name to eFootball this year and also become a free-to-play game. Unfortunately, it has also been crammed full of loot boxes and other things that may not have completely tipped the players to kick back. Right now, the game is the most hated the title of Steam.

However, it is not just loot boxes that the players criticize but in principle all aspects of the game. The game is even described as a slightly more advanced mobile game, which is not particularly flattering. The thing that has attracted the most attention online is the player models. They look really miserable and could be extras taken from the TV series The Walking Dead.

Konami themselves have responded to the criticism with a tweet in which they promise to fix the game:

It remains to be seen if Konami can sort this out. PES has long been the only competitor to EA Sports FIFA-series and is even more loved by many fans.
