Kojima shares an illustration of Shinkawa, hints on the next game?

More than a year after the debut of Death Stranding, many expected to discover the very first news regarding the next game signed Hideo Kojima on the occasion of the recent celebrations for the fifth anniversary of the founding of Kojima Productions.

Unfortunately, the padre in Metal Gear Solid did not consider this the most suitable moment to take off the veils of his next project, but limited himself to thank the fans for their support in recent years and to announce secondary initiatives, such as the one linked to collaboration between Death Stranding and Cyberpunk 2077.

A few days later, however, a curious tweet from the Japanese director appears, showing an illustration edited byunmistakable hand of Yoji Shinkawa, a designer who has historically collaborated with Kojima for several years now. In his usual mysterious way, Kojima did not provide any description of what you can admire at the bottom of the news, but as expected, fans immediately began to speculate and travel with the imagination. From what we can see, the image appears to simply depict a girl perched on the ground with a distinctive circular tattoo on her left arm. Next, on a separate sheet, we see a more cryptic illustration in black and gold, probably linked to the main one, but still difficult to decode.

Who knows if this isn’t Kojima’s way of tease his fans ahead of the announcement of his new game. We just have to wait patiently to find out if we will have a sequel to Death Stranding, or if instead we will be surprised by the return of Silen Hill or from a completely original IP.
