KLM will cancel fifty flights a day this weekend due to the crowds at Schiphol Airport. The airline announced this on Friday. It is not known which destinations are involved.
“In order to contribute to a manageable situation at the airport and in its own operations, KLM is forced to initiate a number of actions. For example, KLM is proactively canceling up to fifty flights a day for the coming weekend. Passengers on these flights are obviously rebooked to other flights,” the airline said.
KLM has also freed up seats on certain flights, so that passengers who do not make their flight or transfer due to crowds at the airport can still depart at a later time in the day.
