The three-part project Suspects Introduces spectators to the world of the heroine, who keeps her distance from the surroundings and hiding behind thick glasses. It is easy to condemn such a person, because we do not know much about him or her. But that doesn’t mean it is Hana Kučerová really bad.
„Glasses, which Hana hardly takes off, play an important role here. Because of the close camera shots, I had to have real ones eyeglasses that slightly deform the face from a certain angle. So I played glasses with three diopters,“Says Klára Melíšková in materials for journalists.
Originally, it should have minus minus lenses that would match the plus diopters. But the actress found out on the first day of filming that her head was spinning, so she kept it eyeglasses. „Everything within half a meter in front of me was magnified and everything that was beyond this limit was blurred, and it actually helped me to imagine in what world Hana lives, locked in her world behind thick glasses,“Adds Melíšková, who also played make-up.

„First of all, you say: she’s a terrible, evil woman, I don’t want anything to do with her at all. But when I read the script more than once and let it go through, then I began to feel sorry for her. I began to realize that there would be some injuries from childhood, from life, from old grievances,The actress explains.
She was looking for where Hana Kučerová’s behavior came from, because she didn’t want her to act unequivocally like a villain or as a victim. And even though she worked with this character for a quarter of a year before the start of filming, it is not without interest that she did not fine-tune the final form until the cameras started. The first fortnight was filmed in the house of Hana and her daughter Tereza. “I could have discovered Hana in her home environmentto feel her, to live with her and to go with this package of knowledge then to the world out there… To the hospital, to the prison, to the courts…“
