An Australian woman will not soon forget her kiss with a Tinder date. She was rushed due to an allergic reaction.
Samara Hnaien recently met Charles Harries through Tinder. It clicked immediately and so they agreed. Not at a café or restaurant – due to the corona crisis – but at his home. “The date went really well, so at some point we kissed,” she tells BuzzFeed.
Peanut butter sandwich
During the kiss, the 23-year-old suddenly felt a tingling sensation in her mouth, as if she had an allergic reaction. Strange, because she is only allergic to peanuts. And yes, that allergy was the culprit, because Charles (22) had eaten a peanut butter sandwich just before their date.
Confronting
Samara hastily explained how to give her an injection with an EpiPen to avoid worse. Then she was taken to the hospital. “I was ashamed and thought it was so bad for him. It is quite confrontational to have to inject someone, especially when you first meet each other, ”she explains.
Second date
Charles was far from embarrassed and took good care of her. “He was very caring and made me feel comfortable and kept saying I shouldn’t be ashamed,” she concludes.
Or how a peanut allergy can bring people together. Because there will be a second date!
