The Kings were expected to lose tonight, but the Kings simply refused to lose tonight. Facing a combative Jazz, Kevin Huerter’s friends reached the finish line and closed 2022 as it should have been: with a new victory (127-126), Sacramento is today in the Top 5 of the Western Conference!

Crazy new scenario, new victory at the finish line, in a series of home games that will not have appeased the hearts of Sacramento fans. Frustrated by the losses against Charlotte and Washington, Mike Brown’s men had to recover quickly as the Western Conference is not giving a break this season. Utah was then in town, with a fiery Lauri Markkanen (36 points) and curls in the wind.
Helped by Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley, this good Lauri saw the Golden 1 Center air-conditioned to start the New Year with a smile.
It was without counting on Red Velvet, Kevin Huerter, who will deliver the biggest blow of the match in an indescribable atmosphere.

The battle on the rebound, Keegan Murray having the wits to find his sniper, red shooting, bang bang.
Huerter was already very hot in this match (27 points on shooting), which made up for the few clumsiness of De’Aaron Fox. But it was again this sense of community and sacrifice that took over when circumstances were not favourable. Mike Brown who has to leave his players, the assistants who take over well. Domantas Sabonis who has a broken hand, and who gives us a monstrous performance (28 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists on 12/12 shooting!).
