TV’Sex and the City’ actress Kim Cattrall (66) has opened her booklet about her short cameo in the spin-off ‘And Just Like That…’. She did this during an interview in the program ‘The View’. “It’s really interesting to get a call from HBO asking, ‘What can we do?’”
Although she initially wanted nothing to do with the reboot, Kim will soon be seen briefly as her character Samantha. Albeit during a phone call that did not require her to be in the same room as her former colleagues Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
“They called me and asked, ‘What can we do to get you back?’ I thought, now I have to get creative. I asked that Pat Field be reinstated. She always dressed me like Samantha, and I only wanted to work with the same stylist.” No sooner said than done, and HBO brought 82-year-old Fields back on board.
She did not say a word about the alleged feud with Sarah Jessica Parker. She did make it very clear in the past that she was “not friends” with the rest of the cast. She wanted to shoot her scene on her own, far away from the rest.
Evan Handler, who played Charlotte’s husband Harry Goldenblatt in ‘Sex and the City’ and now also in the reboot ‘And Just Like That…’, previously confirmed that nothing has been settled between the ladies. “There was always a lot of tension on the set when they were together. It was very uncomfortable for everyone. I don’t think there is any closure or reconciliation. It’s just nice for the fans to see Kim for a while. That’s all.”
