The victims are his separated wife, a 47-year-old Swiss, and a 60-year-old Swiss who was with her. The events occurred in a public establishment in Piazza Grande in Giubiasco. The shooter is a former cantonal police officer, retired for several months. His two victims died on the spot. The shooter then committed suicide, the Ticinese public prosecutor said in a statement.
