Kiko Veneno is one of the essential names of Spanish music of the last 40 years. An unclassifiable composer, knowledgeable about tradition, but unafraid of the avant-garde. He paved the way in flamenco-pop with «Veneno» (1977) and with his participation in Camarón’s “La leyenda del tiempo” (1979) he widened the cantes. In the nineties he signed two albums that are part of the soundtrack of a generation, “Échate un cantecito” (1992) and “Está muy bien eso del cariño” (1995), of great commercial success and angular disc for flamenco pop. .
As a restless artist, he also followed paths away from flamenco and thus came records as different as «Si tú, si yo»(1984), «El hombre Invisible»(2005), «Dice la gente»(2010) or «El pimiento indomable ”(2012). Always mutating, but with his own stamp that unites the poetic and the everyday.
