Kia has unveiled the design of the updated “high” Rio X-Line hatchback for Russia. In our market, this model will be sold under the new name Rio X, according to a press release from the Korean brand (received at Autonews.ru). The exact date of the start of sales of new items and prices for it are still unknown.
In design, the novelty received the same changesas the restyled Rio sedan. The car was equipped with more embossed bumpers, a modernized grille “smile of a tiger”, an enlarged air intake and other “fog lights”. The ground clearance of the car is 195 millimeters.
All technical specifications of the Rio X are kept secret. The pre-styling Rio X-Line is equipped with 1.4 and 1.6 liter gasoline units developing 100 and 123 liters. from. respectively. Transmissions – five-speed “mechanics” or six-speed “automatic”.
The “high” hatchback Kia Rio X-Line began selling in Russia in 2017. The company claims that in 2020, the cross-hatchback already accounts for 50% of all Rio sold.
According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), Kia sold in September there were 20 402 cars on the Russian market. This figure is 6% more than the figures for the same period last year.
