It was dramatic scenes at the Florida Gators’ college basketball game against Florida State. Young basketball star Keyontae Johnson collapses on the field and remains motionless. It’s not just his teammates who hold their breath at the shocking scene. At first, no one thinks about basketball.

The 21-year-old Johnson collapsed, as was seen on sports channel ESPN, just a few minutes after the game started. After a break, he simply tipped over on the way to the sidelines. Johnson received immediate medical attention and was carried to the locker room before being rushed to a hospital, according to an ESPN report.
Afterwards, the players on both teams were visibly upset because the game had to be continued. But after a short delay the restart took place. After the end of the game, head coach Mike White reportedly drove straight to the hospital to stay with Johnson. “Please keep praying for @Keyontae and his family,” tweeted White, who stayed with Johnson in the hospital overnight, on Saturday afternoon. “We all love him.”

Although a cause for Johnson’s breakdown is not yet known, Johnson got positive on that over the summer, according to ESPN Coronavirus tested. Could his breakdown be related to this? Regarding the current condition of the player, it was recently said that Johnson would be in a critical but stable condition.
“Keyontae has received excellent support from the local staff. We are glad that his parents can be by his side and they all feel the support of Gator Nation,” said Scott Stricklin, Florida sports director, according to People.
