Rival parties in war-torn Libya talked, ate and lived with each other in Utøya this week. The consequence is described as “really constructive”. The objective: to avoid an additional war.
– The circumstance in Libya is vital. But it is our responsibility to catch any glimmer of hope now, states Mohamed Hamuda. This week Libya’s interim authorities spokesman, GNU, took a split less than the birch trees at Utøya in Tyrifjorden.
In finish silence, reps of Libya’s rival governments and militias participated in 4 times of shut peace talks on the terrified island. Saturday’s meetings are explained as “extremely constructive”. The parties are now performing intensively to proceed the dialogue in meetings for the country’s political leaders.
