Moon eclipse

A lunar eclipse is an event that occurs where the position of the sun, earth, and moon is in a straight line, so that the Earth’s shadow covers part or all of the Moon. The process of this lunar eclipse begins when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon on the same line. This results in the sun’s rays not reaching the Moon because it is blocked by the Earth.

This lunar eclipse can occur because when the Earth is between the Sun and also the Moon is in a parallel position as previously explained. In this case the Earth will block the sun’s rays that are going to the Moon, so that the Moon’s surface will be covered by the Earth’s shadow. The process of this lunar eclipse is longer when compared to the sun, even though the time difference is only a few minutes. Like a solar eclipse, the process of this lunar eclipse is as follows.

1. It begins when the Moon that is shining brightly suddenly becomes covered bit by bit by black shadows. The black shadow is a shadow from Earth.
