Indonesian men’s doubles, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon beat Supak Jomkoh/Kittinupong Kedren to draw 1-1 against Thailand in the second match of the group stage Thomas Cup 2021, Monday (11/10).
Kevin/Marcus won in a three-game game 19-21 21-18 21-13 over Supak/Kittinupong at Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Denmark.
Kevin/Marcus got tough resistance from Supak/Kittinupong. Kevin/Marcus had a 3-1 lead but Supak/Kittinupong could reduce the lag to 4-5.
Supak/Kittinupong are consistently able to serve the game that Kevin/Marcus showed. From the condition behind 4-5, Supak/Kittinupong could force the score to draw 7-7 and could even close the first game interval with 11-10.
Kevin/Marcus could turn things around to take a 14-13 lead after the interval. After that, the score was tied to 19-19 and Supak/Kittinupong could get two points to close the first game with 21-19.
In the second game, Kevin/Marcus could win again over Supak/Kittinupong with 4-3. Kevin / Marcus can even keep the advantage to be 7-4.
