Big surprise: Kevin Keogh is the new sales and marketing manager of the Neom mega project in Saudi Arabia. Niall Gibbons, Head of Tourism at Neom, announced this on his Linkedin profile.
Keogh has been head of sales and marketing for all DER Touristik tour operator brands since 2011. In September 2022, he handed over sales management and supported the company at group level. At the end of last year, the manager announced that he would be leaving DER Touristik and dedicating himself to new tasks in international tourism.
The challenge is enormous: Neom means “new future” and is a project of superlatives. It is currently being created in the northern Arabian desert. The location will consist of several regions: the linear city “The Line”, a center for advanced and clean industry “Oxagon”, the mountain destination “Trojena” and the luxury island resort “Sindalah”.
By 2030, around a million people are expected to live in Neom, and by 2045 there will be nine million, according to Neom’s website Neom.
