Kevin Aprilio had a blast doing hair and beard transplants in Turkey. For the first time, Kevin showed the results of his hair transplant. Kevin also said that he was willing to be pricked with needles up to 18,000 times during the hair treatment.
Kevin explained on Deddy Corbuzier’s Youtube channel about the transplant method he did. The transplant method called follicular unit extraction is to move the hair roots from the head to the part where the hair is thicker, such as Kevin who wants to grow a beard.
Kevin revealed that at first he only wanted to grow hair on his forehead. But then he was interested in the beard.
Kevin Aprilio said that she often received sarcasm that she did not make much effort to grow her hair because she had hair transplant surgery, not using topical drugs. The 31-year-old musician explained that the transplant he did took effort and struggle because he endured the pain with repeated anesthetic punctures.
“The donor area was anesthetized one by one, then there was a tool like a gun, it was like taking roots, then placing them one by one. That’s a lot of blood,” said Kevin.
“A total of 18 thousand times were stabbed,” added the husband of Vicy Melanie.
Kevin revealed the reason he planted hair in the forehead and beard area. For the forehead area, Kevin reasoned that his slightly wider forehead made him less confident.
“But the open disclaimer means that a wide forehead is not good, it’s only me that feels that I am lacking,” he explained.
As for the beard area, Kevin admitted that it wasn’t planned at first. However, he wanted to try a new look, and it turned out that having a beard Kevin recognized was useful as ‘shading’.
“Sometimes this is like shading too because I can’t possibly be as skinny as I used to be. It’s semi shading,” said Kevin Aprilio to Deddy Corbuzier.
