Kershaw led the Dodgers to be the first to win a district championship in MLB

Match ended after 141 games … Kershaw 7 innings without goals

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the first to win the MLB championship in the 2022 season.

The Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on the 14th.

The Dodgers, first in the National League West Division with a record of 98-43, have widened the gap with the San Diego Padres, second in the table (78-64) by 20.5 games.

Even though the Dodgers have lost all remaining 21 games and San Diego have won all remaining 20 games, the Dodgers have an advantage over their opponents (12-4), so San Diego can claim the title in the district.

The Dodgers have managed to establish a “dynasty” that can be counted in the major leagues by winning a total of nine district trophies in the 10 years since 2013.

Now, the Dodgers’ remaining goal is to secure first place in the overall National League win rate and get an easier group in the post-season division streak.

It’s a goal that can be easily achieved by maintaining a win rate of 50,000 for the remainder of the season, as there is a 10-game gap with the New York Mets (89–54), who are second in the league.

Kershaw's Dodgers become the first champion of the MLB division

It was Clayton Kershaw, the former ace who built the “Dynasty of the Dodgers”, who gave the Dodgers their first earthly championship trophy in two years.

Kershaw finished the Arizona lineup with 7 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts and no runs, and collected his eighth win (3 losses) of the season.

The Dodgers hit with three fantastic home runs and celebrated the district championship.

In the second inning, Joey Gallo scored a two-point homer in the 17th pre-final final of the second inning and in the third inning, Freddie Freeman’s 20th one-point homer in the third inning.

In the 7th inning, Max Munsey finished the win with his 20th solo bow of the season.

KBO League’s Arizona ace Merrill Kelly has suffered 6 losses (12 wins) of the season with 5 wins (2 homers) and 3 runs in 5 innings.
