Kate Middleton Wears Late Queen Elizabeth II’s Earrings to Jordanian Wedding

A special accessory was given to the late Queen by her parents for her wedding to Prince Philip.

Kate Middleton attended the wedding of Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein wearing earrings by the late Queen Elizabeth II. About it writes Vogue.

Prince William’s wife wore two special pieces of royal heritage to the feast of the Jordanian monarchs – Princess Diana’s Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara and Queen Elizabeth II’s Greville Chandelier earrings.

The Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara, set with diamonds and pearls, was among the favorites of Prince William’s late mother. The moment with the royal accessory also marked the first time Kate wore the tiara abroad, as she had previously only shown headwear at events in the UK.

Meanwhile, diamond and platinum Greville Chandelier earrings complemented the sparkling headpiece and were a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in September 2022.

Prince William’s grandmother received chandelier earrings as a wedding gift from her parents, King George VI and the Queen Mother, when she married Prince Philip in 1947.

“Almost immediately, earrings became the princess’s favorite jewel, especially after she came to the throne in 1952.” notes The Court Jeweler.

When the Princess of Wales wore Greville earrings to her wedding feast in Jordan, it was a “premiere” of sorts, as she had never worn them in public before.
