Paxos was visited by Stefanos Kaselakis accompanied by SYRIZA-PS MP Alexandros Avlonitis.
The President of SYRIZA “arrived on the island by liner and the reception from the residents was particularly warm”.
Stefanos Kasselakis had the opportunity to talk with businessmen, with tourism agents, with administration agents, but also with many citizens.
“He heard from the people of Paxos about the problems that the small island has, problems that have to do with the infrastructure, the road network and with connection issues with both Corfu and the mainland coast. They told him that in the winter the itineraries that are made are now few, they do not serve the residents and the island remains blocked even for days. The businessmen of the area pointed out that for several months there is not a single bank branch on the island, which makes commercial activity even more difficult, as well as issues related to the development of Paxos.
The president of SYRIZA-PS “followed two litanies and declared himself impressed by the picturesqueness of the religious events in a beautiful traditional landscape”.
