Alassane Diallo, father of baby Diary, lived an incredible story this Saturday morning at the Ibrahima Niasse hospital in Kaolack. He found who was declared dead, alive in the morgue in a box.
“I had taken my sick daughter to the hospital. And this morning, I came to inquire about his state of health. But the doctor told me that she was tired, and had headaches. After a while I came back, the nurse asked me and I explained to her what the doctor told me. But to my great surprise, she announced the death of the child to me before handing me a death certificate. Once at the morgue, the body that was no longer there is brought back by another in a box. It was enough for my friend to touch the baby’s neck, she began to cry. It’s serious. We were going to bury my daughter alive. It is deplorable,” revealed Alassane Diallo.
Disgusted by this situation, he declares that it is not new in hospitals and that the competent authorities and the doctors must show a lot of respect towards the patients. ” It is not the first time. And that happens everywhere in Senegal. Patients are not being treated properly. So it’s up to the minister to react before it’s too late,” he said.
