Commenting on Meta on Friday, Kanye West replayed on Twitter for the first time in nearly two years, a move hailed by Elon Musk, who is in the process of buying the social network.
West, who legally changed his name to Ye, tweeted a photo of a hat with the year 2024. Musk replied himself. tweetread “Welcome back on Twitter my friend!”
West last posted on Twitter in November 2020, right after the last US presidential election. After his first tweet on Friday, West post published onThis included a photo of him with Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who accused him of kicking him off Instagram.
In a statement to CNN Business on Saturday, a meta spokesperson said the content was removed from West’s account for violating company policies and restrictions were placed on his account. He did not specify what was objectionable about the content or what kind of restriction was imposed.
The move comes after West shared a since-deleted post that included a screenshot of a text conversation with Sean “Diddy” Combs criticizing him. The American Jewish Committee as “anti-Jewish”.
