Heated controversy Susun Bayam village not finished. Now the residents oppose Kampung Susun Bayam’s proposed monthly rental rate of IDR 1.5 million.
Kampung Susun Bayam was built in 4 months and 20 days from 7th May 2022. This building stands on an area of 17,354 sq m, built in 3 towers of 4 floors comprising 138 residential units.
Each unit has an area of 36m2 with a layout that includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, balcony, family room and laundry using the loft concept.
This castle village is intended for residents of the former Bayam village. Their settlement was evicted for the construction of BMW Stadium which is now called Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
Some of the evicted JIS residents had built a shed near the railroad tracks. Jakpro, who was appointed by the DKI provincial government to relocate residents, said in early January 2022 that there was a resettlement program or resettlement action plan (RAP).
Jakpro said there were 642 families registered in the programme. Jakpro complied with the directives of Anies Baswedan who was the governor of DKI Jakarta at that time for the arrangement of the JIS area.
Anies once said that residents affected by the JIS project could live in apartments that are currently under construction by the DKI provincial government. This was broadcast on her YouTube, “DariPendopo”.
Anies said that there is a village beside the railway tracks in that area which is close to JIS. Anies said the provincial government had prepared 130 units of Kampung Bayam apartments.
“What we are currently preparing are apartments for them to live in that place, now in the construction process, there are more than 130 units, and there are also disabled units for people with disabilities. And the concept is to prepare them to be able to carry out their profession as before. Some of them are suitable. planting, cultivating, for this in the villages we will build those that are currently under construction and urban agriculture will be prepared and they will still be able to carry out their profession as farmers,” he said Anies, as seen, Monday (28/3/2022).
“So during the construction process they live in a temporary place because large equipment has to work in that risky area, then if there are people around there they live outside the provisional place. Then as the building process is ongoing they will come back to live there again,” she continued.

Kampung Susun Bayam was inaugurated by Anies which is located in JIS area. Anies said that Kampung Susun leads the concept of growing houses and is not inferior to buildings in other areas of the private sector.
“A happy night, we are thankful as the intention which has been proclaimed for a long time is now complete. We intend to build by giving a sense of justice,” said Anies Baswedan in her remarks in Kampung Susun Bayam on Wednesday (12/10 /2022).
At that time, Anies recalled the early days of building JIS stadium. At that time, Anies saw that the residents of Kampung Bayam should be part of the progress of the international standard stadium.
Anies said most Kampung Susun Bayam residents work as farmers. So, now agricultural activities can still continue in kampung susun area.
