Juris Žagars reveals how he lives with his brother’s passing

As is known, Andrejs Žagar passed away at the age of 60 on February 26, 2019 after a hard fight with the disease. During the interview, Juris remembers his brother with a smile and believes that he has come to terms with his departure, it could not be otherwise.

The Žagari brothers are described in the cultural space as ambitious and purposeful walkers of their own path, each with their own direction towards great things. Juris laughingly admits that there has always been unconscious competition with his brother. “I consider competition to be one of the strongest driving forces. I am competitive. I like to win, I don’t like to lose. I cannot be indifferent to what I can achieve when someone else has achieved it.”

Speaking about his brother’s departure, he believes that it is impossible to completely deal with it, the pain remains inside, but you have to be able to live with it.

“Everyone gets along and survives. You can’t live like this forever. If I ever leave this world, I want those who remain to live with it pretty quickly.”
