“Jurģis Liepnieks Announces Divorce from Wife Ilze Elizabete Liepniece After 16 Years Together”

“Even good things sometimes come to an end and you have to move on,” public relations specialist Jurģis Liepnieks writes on his Facebook profile, announcing that he is divorcing his wife Ilze Elizabete Liepniece.

“In order to avoid rumors and confusion, we would like to say that after 16 years together, of which we were married for nine years, Ilzi Elizabeti Liepniec and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Liepnieks says.

“We remain friends and collaborators, full of respect and gratitude to each other for the many wonderful moments and great time together. Respecting the privacy of such an important relationship, we ask that you respect our mutual desire not to publicly disclose or discuss in public the details of our joint decisions and relationship,” sums up The 51-year-old public relations specialist.

The relationship between the political technologist and Ilze Elizabetes began in 2008, when Liepnieks visited the woman’s beauty salon. The two got married in the presence of only two witnesses – the new wife’s colleague and the family driver – but only Liepnieks’ daughter Hera, who was born in his first marriage with Diana Urtani, knew about the big event at that time.
