“Jurassic Park” actor Sam Neill discloses his battle with leukemia

The “Jurassic Park” star spoke to The Guardian in an interview published on Friday about the “dark moments” he had experienced in the past year when he learned he had cancer.

“These dark moments have made me grateful for every day of my life, and deeply grateful for all my friends. I am so happy to be alive,” he said.

Neil, 75, received chemotherapy and started another when the first failed. The Guardian explained that Neil, who has recovered from cancer, will take a monthly treatment “for the rest of his life”.
