Tony Martin also reached the opening stage of the Tour.

The 36-year-old veteran from the Jumbo-Visma team resigned from the event after falling in Wednesday’s 11th stage, in which he suffered facial and leg injuries.
An ambulance took him from the track to the hospital for examinations, the AFP agency informed.

Martin was injured when he fell into a deep pit. The incident took place at the beginning of the royal stage near the town of Sorgues in the region of Provence.
The German time trial champion is the third driver of the Jumbo-Visma stable, who resigned from this year’s Tour.
After falling in the third stage, Robert Gesink finished, with the consequences of injuries from the fall, Primož Roglič also fought for the overall standings, but last weekend he decided to finish.
For Jumbo-Visma, Martin’s resignation is a significant loss, as he is an assistant to the young candidate for the overall standings, Dan Jonas Vingegaard (currently fourth overall), but also the Belgian Wout van Aert on the way to the stage victories.
Sagan scored three points
On the eleventh day, one of its peaks awaits the peloton, cyclists have to step up to the myths of Mont Ventoux twice.
