AMSTERDAM – With the negotiations about a takeover of Hema, the Van Eerd family, owner of supermarket chain Jumbo, is once again taking a big step in the retail world. If all goes well, the umpteenth step will be taken on the threshold of the supermarket company’s 100th anniversary. For the next eight weeks, it will be all or nothing.
