In a historic moment for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the 2024 enshrinement class will honor some of the greatest defensive players in the history of the game. Alongside these defensive legends, a record-breaking kickoff and punt returner will also be celebrated. The seven-member Class of 2024 includes defensive end Julius Peppers, defensive end Dwight Freeney, linebacker Patrick Willis, Devin Hester, wide receiver Andre Johnson, linebacker Randy Gradishar, and defensive tackle Steve McMichael.

He went on to become one of the most prolific pass-rushers in NFL history, ranking fourth on the official sack list with 159.5 sacks. Peppers was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and consistently reached double-digit sack totals throughout his 17-season career. His impact extended beyond sacks, as he also recorded 11 interceptions, forced 52 fumbles, and knocked down 82 passes.

He led the league in receptions and receiving yards twice and had numerous games with double-digit receptions and over 100 yards receiving.

Although Patrick Willis retired after just eight seasons due to a painful toe injury, his impact on the game cannot be understated. Willis was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and a five-time first-team All-Pro selection. He led the league in tackles twice and consistently reached the 100-tackle mark throughout his career. Willis’ remarkable achievements earned him a spot on the all-decade team of the 2010s.
