The owner of the swimming pool does not want to check the corona tickets of parents who bring their children to swimming lessons and pick them up to change. The Hilversum mayor obliged the swimming pool to only open to the public from the age of 18 with a valid corona ticket, subject to a penalty of 2,500 euros per violation, with a maximum of 10,000 euros. The swimming pool objected and went to court.
The judge suspends the imposed obligation of the municipality and the associated penalty. Until a decision has been made on the objection that the swimming pool has lodged with the municipality, parents who bring their children to swimming lessons do not have to show their corona pass.
