Jordan Bouah – Wikipedia

Jordan Sebastian Bouah (born May 17, 1995) is an Italian wide receiver American football player. His greatest achievements include winning the 2021 European Championship and winning the 2022 ELF Championship Game.

Bouah, who is the son of an Ivorian man and a Sardinian woman, played youth basketball for Stella Azurra and Pallacanestro Virtus Roma.[1][2] After turning down an offer from Italy’s second division, he reoriented himself and started playing American football with Gladiatori Roma in 2015. Even as a rookie, he led his team in the third Italian division in yards caught (479) and touchdowns (8).[3] In 2017, Bouah signed up for Saddleback Junior College in Mission Viejo, California. After recording six tackles for the Bobcats as a freshman, he also got snpas on offense and as a returner as a sophomore.

In March 2019, Bouah competed in the CFL Combine in Toronto. He had three best results among the global participants in the 40-yard dash (4.68 seconds), standing high jump (33″) and standing long jump (9’10.50″).[4][5] Bouah was drafted eighth by the Ottawa RedBlacks in the 2019 European CFL Draft and signed a few weeks later.[6][7] He was used in a preseason game for the RedBlacks. After training camps in early June, Bouah was released by the RedBlacks.[8]

Bouah then returned to Italy, where he played for the Giants Bolzano in the Italian league playoffs. In August 2019 he was signed as a replacement for the injured Martin Emos by the Dresden Monarchs from the German Football League (GFL).[9] He played a minor role in his six appearances, recording 145 receiving yards for three touchdowns.[10] For the 2020 season, Bouah joined the Milano Seamen.[11] However, the season was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why Bouah didn’t make his debut for the Seamen until the 2021 season. With 10 total touchdowns scored, he was an integral part of the team that reached the Italian Bowl but lost to the Parma Panthers. Midway through the GFL season, he was signed by the New York Lions.[12] In autumn 2021, Bouah became European champion with the Italian national team. In the final against Sweden, Bouah caught six passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. Bouah finished fourth with Italy at the Flag Football World Cup in December 2021 and was subsequently recognized as an internal team MVP.[13]

For the 2022 season, Bouah signed a contract with the Vienna Vikings, who had joined the European League of Football (ELF) for the season.[14] Bouah was a regular at the Vikings as a wideout, and he was also often used as a returner. On the third day of play he caught his first touchdown in the ELF in the home game against Stuttgart Surge. He led the Vikings internally with 680 receiving yards and helped his team make the playoffs. There they were able to prevail against the Barcelona Dragons in the semi-finals and beat the Hamburg Sea Devils in the final. Bouah was selected to the second ELF All-Star Team.[15] He returned to the Vikings for the 2023 season.[16]
