Jonasam MXGP fourth place in the Portuguese ‘Grand Prix’ qualification

Latvian motorcyclist Paul Jonass Portugal took fourth place in the International Motorsport Federation (FIM) World Motocross Championship on Saturday MXGP in the fourth stage qualification of the class.

The Latvian motorcyclist, representing the Standing Construct Husqvarna Factory Racing team, started in second place behind Glen Koldenhof of the Netherlands.

Jonas was overtaken by Spaniard Jorge Prado in the fourth lap, and Koldenhof’s compatriot Brian Bogers also passed in the eighth lap.

The Latvian motorcyclist lost 10,801 seconds to the winner Koldenhof.

Prado finished second and Bogers third.

Slovenian Tim Gayser, the leader of the overall standings and the winner of the first three stages, was less than 26 seconds behind Koldenhof in seventh place.

Before that, the Latvian motorcyclist had taken the eighth place in the free practice rides, but in the next training races he had risen four places higher.

It has already been reported that in the first stage in the UK, Jonas did not participate due to surgery of inflamed tendons in the wrist.

After the second stage, in which the seams were released, another operation was performed in Belgium, and in the third stage – the Argentine “Grand Prix” – after his first victory in the qualification, Jonas took the fourth place.

The 2021 championship was won by Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings, leaving behind Frenchman Roman Fever and Slovenian Tim Gayser.

Latvian motorcyclist Jonass, who did not start in the final two stages of the season, finished the season in eighth position.
