After two less successful stages today, Jonas hopes that success will be closer to him, he will have better starts and he will be able to complete the races without falls. He remained the fourteenth in the race on Wednesday, but in the overall standings he is still seventh in the overall standings before the end of the season – Jeremy Siever in the front, and Glen Koldenhof in the back.
Today, Jonas finished ninth in qualifying races, 1,149 seconds behind the winner. The Standing Construct GasGas rider ran six laps and reached the best time in the second of them.
The winner was Herlings, who is currently only one point ahead of Roman Fevra and three points ahead of Tim Gayser. In the Red Bull KTM team, the athlete’s closest followers were Severer and Jorge Prado, Fever took fourth place and Gayser finished sixth.
The best in the MX2 class was the season’s vice-leader Jago Gertts, the overall leader Maksim Renū took the fourth place, while the excellent driver Tom Vialle in the last stages turned out to be the sixth fastest.
The final races in the MXGP class will take place at 13.10 and 16.15 Latvian time, but in the MX2 class both races will be one hour earlier. They will be broadcast live on the TV channel Eurosport 2.
