Jon Stewart in Tears as He Reveals Heartbreaking News on The Daily Show
Beloved Dog Passes Away
Renowned political commentator Jon Stewart recently made an emotional return to Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to share some heartbreaking news with viewers.
Journey of Love and Loss
In a tearful tribute, Stewart revealed that his beloved dog, Dipper, had passed away just a day before. Filled with deep emotions, Stewart fondly described Dipper as “the best” amidst his sobs.
The heartwarming story of Dipper begins about 10 to 12 years ago when Stewart’s family decided to raise funds for an animal shelter in New York called Animal Haven. They had set up a table outside, selling cupcakes to collect money. That day, the shelter introduced them to Dipper, a “one-ish year old brindle pitbull.”
Unfortunately, Dipper had faced adversity, having lost one of his legs in an accident. Despite that, Dipper became an integral part of the Stewart family, bringing immense love and joy.
A Cherished Companion
Dipper joined Stewart every day during the taping of The Daily Show and had the privilege to meet various notable figures, including actors, authors, presidents, and even a king. Dipper had a mischievous encounter with Malala Yousafzai, bringing a laugh to the audience.
Stewart left The Daily Show in 2015, making way for Trevor Noah as the new host. Recently, Stewart returned to the show and will be hosting each Monday until the upcoming election.
Despite the heartache of saying goodbye, Stewart remains committed to helping Comedy Central secure a successful transition, as he will also serve as the executive producer of the weeknight show until next year.
