Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The rupiah exchange rate against the United States dollar (US) strengthened in the middle rate of Bank Indonesia (BI). Rupiah is also mighty in trading spot market by being the best in Asia.
On Wednesday (7/22/2020), the BI middle rate or the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate / Jisdor exchange rate was at Rp 14,655. The rupiah strengthened sharply 1.07% compared to the previous day’s position.
The Rupiah is also impressive in the ‘arena’ of the spot market. At 10:00 WIB, US $ 1 was equivalent to Rp 14,600 in which the rupiah strengthened 0.54%.
Like the rupiah, almost all Asian currencies strengthened before the US dollar. However, the rupiah stands out because the strengthening of 0.54% makes the rupiah number one on the Continent.
