The city of Fonsorbes is looking for traders for its open-air market which is held every Saturday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the avenue du 19-mars-1962.
On the twenty-three spaces allocated, there are producers of fruit and vegetables, poultry and eggs, and also organic bread, a fishmonger, a butcher, clothing and fashion accessories…
On the other hand, for the past few weeks, the Fonsorbais have deplored the absence of several stalls of products such as cheeses and dairy products or regional cooked dishes that they found before.
Indeed, by browsing their daily newspaper La Dépêche du Midi of March 25, they learned of the departure for other markets in Haute-Garonne from Jérôme, the cheese maker, and Fred, the caterer. And what about a horticulturist or trade in plants and flowers that does not exist on this market and is much in demand by the inhabitants?
Thierry Louzon, municipal councilor in charge of the development of the city declared: “We will give preference to the caterer who will offer traditional French cuisine, the cuisines of the world being already represented on the market”. And to specify: “We receive a lot of requests from caterers, but we want to offer the Fonsorbais diversity and play the territory card”.
