Join Al Sadd, Cazorla Will Be Trained by Xavi

Santi Cazorla will join Al Sadd after leaving Villarreal. He later trained his former colleague in the national team Spanish, Xavi Hernandez.

Al Sadd announced that he had reached an agreement with Cazorla through their Twitter account. The former Arsenal player will soon be heading to complete his move at the Qatari club.

“We have reached an agreement with Santi Cazorla,” Al Sadd wrote on the club’s official Twitter account.

“He will head to Doha to complete the move and join the team. Welcome to Al Sadd, Santi!

“We wish you all the best and we can get many titles together. Thank you very much,” the statement continued.

Cazorla will reunite with Xavi who is now gushing Al Sadd. Cazorla and Xavi had been together in the Spanish national team when La Furia Roja won the European Cup in 2008 and 2012.

The 35-year-old player decided to join Al Sadd after leaving Villarreal. Cazorla underwent the last two seasons like a fairy tale with Villarreal which is a team of his youth.

Coming from Arsenal after being injured for two seasons, he rediscovered his best game on the Yellow Submarine. Cazorla managed to package four goals in 35 appearances in the 2018/2019 season with this youth team.

Cazorla’s performance increasingly uphill in the 2019/2020 season. He managed to pack 11 goals and 10 assists in 35 matches in LaLiga.

This incision led Villarreal to sit in fifth place with 60 points. This led them to win tickets to the Europa League next season.
