John Ritter’s son, Jason, defended his “absolutely beautiful” wife from internet mockery about her body

Actor John Ritter had a son, Jason, who followed in his footsteps. The young man and his actress wife of hers have a rewarding marriage and he defended her in the sweetest way.

John Ritter had a successful career in Hollywood and left behind a larger-than-life legacy to inspire his family. He gained fame for his roles in “Three’s Company”, “Skin Deep” and the “Problem Child” film series.

He was also a family man who put his loved ones first. He married actress Nancy Morgan in 1977 and they had three children together: Jason, Carly, and Tyler.

The couple was married Just under two decades ago, and despite their separation, they were grateful for the beautiful family they created together.

His first taste of fame was when he was young when he appeared during the opening credits of “Three’s Company”. The star racked up over 100 credits to his name from then on.

While John was starring in “Hero at Large,” his then-wife Nancy Morgan gave birth to Jason in 1980. The actor sweetly asked his designer to create a miniature version of his outfit for the newborn.

The film’s director, Marty Davidson, shared:

“My wife, Sandy, was the costume designer…She made a tiny Captain Avenger suit, a small version of what John wore in the movie.”

When John appeared on Johnny Carson’s “The Tonight Show,” he showed off the matching suit and thanked Sandy on air. Davidson revealed: “It was one of the happiest nights of my wife’s life.”

John’s second marriage

John and Nancy Morgan had many happy years as a family, but the couple divorced in 1996. Three years later, the actor remarried the actress. Amy Yasbeck.

The “Wings” star had a daughter with John. The young woman did the transition He became a man and went by a new name: Noah Lee. The combined family, including the children from the actor’s first marriage, enjoyed spending time together.

John was a great father and his family was essential to him. Unfortunately, the actor faced serious health problems due to undetected heart failure.

While working on a new sitcom, he developed troubling symptoms and passed away in 2003. He was only 54 years old and his tragic death was unexpected, leaving family and friends devastated.

Jason follows in his father’s footsteps

John’s children continue to honor his legacy. Jason has starred in many important roles that would have put a smile on his late father’s face.

He continued acting after his father’s death, and noting the uncanny resemblance between John and Jason is unavoidable.

He fell in love with an actress

Jason found love with actress Melanie Lynskey and the couple’s relationship developed rapidly. They co-starred in “We’ll Never Have Paris” in 2014 and got engaged in 2017.

They were delighted to announce the birth of their daughter at the end of 2018 and in 2020 they got married. Jason and Lynskey compliment each other regularly online.

“This is a belated Father’s Day post to say thank you to Jason. Thank you for being there for us every day, my love. We are very lucky.” said the actress in 2021.

He learned an important lesson from his dad.

Jason has remained a low-key individual despite his family’s fame, and his proposal to Lynskey highlights his affinity for keeping things simple.

He proposed to her while sitting on the couch, and Lynskey said that the moment had been “beautiful”. Throughout their relationship, they remained true to their down-to-earth style, marrying on the front porch of their rental house in Atlanta.

The father made it a point to always tell his daughter that he loved her. She shared that it was something her father instilled in him and his siblings.

“My dad always made sure we knew we were loved… You can instill all kinds of things in your kids, but the feeling of being loved unconditionally is so important,” said Jason on one occasion.

The young actor also revealed that he came to play with his father’s Emmy Award as a child and accidentally broke a wingtip. He felt guilty, but his father wasn’t too upset about the incident.

He defended his wife after being criticized for her physique

Jason is not only a great father to his daughter, but he is also a wonderful husband to his wife. In 2022, defended Lynskey against online bullies who were criticizing her body.

The actress condemned the haters they were commenting on her weight. Lynskey pointed out that people didn’t see the work he was doing behind the scenes and said:

“Skinny doesn’t always equal healthy.”

Her husband also added his voice to the debate and addressed the trolls online that they felt they had a right to share opinions about others, including their spouse.

“If anyone has any more unsolicited comments on *anyone*’s body, they can write it in permanent ink on their own foreheads,” said.

In another online post, Jason reminded people that Lynskey was stunning, and was full of compliments on his wife. He said that she was the best person he knew and added:

“I’m sorry to do this and she’ll be embarrassed that I did it, but oh my gosh! How beautiful is my wife! Ok, I’m sorry, but, LOOK at this human being.”
