John Refra Kei or familiarly called John Kei dragged down the case attack in Green Lake City, Tangerang, and Duri Kosambi, West Jakarta. The attack was carried out by John Kei’s group against the Nus Kei group. John Kei was sentenced by prosecutors to 18 years in prison for his actions.
John Kei is charged with violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 jo Article 55 paragraph 2, Article 170 paragraph 2 to 2 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 paragraph 1, Article 2 paragraph 1 Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 1951 jo Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. Prosecutors are charging John Kei to 18 years in prison.
“Sentenced John Refra alias John Kei to 18 years imprisonment less while the defendant is in detention,” said the public prosecutor while reading out his charges at the West Jakarta District Court, West Jakarta, Tuesday (11/5/2011).
John Kei, said the prosecutor in his indictment, was found guilty of committing a crime by deliberately ordering and recommending premeditated murder. In addition, the prosecutor said that John Kei owned and kept weapons.
“Demand that the Panel of Judges at the West Jakarta District Court who is authorized and adjudicates this case decides one thing, declares the defendant John Refra alias John Kei to be legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act by deliberately ordering and recommending premeditated murder openly and with collective energy using violence against a person causing serious injury, and without the right to surrender, try to surrender, control, carry in his possession or possess in his possession, stabbing or stabbing weapon, “said the prosecutor.
The thing that aggravated the demands of John Kei was that the actions were carried out in a structured manner resulting in a death and an injury. Meanwhile, the mitigating factor was that the defendant was polite. John Kei can file a plea on Monday (17/5/2021).
This case started when Nus Kei met John Kei at the correctional facility. Nus Kei was said to need Rp. 1 billion and would return Rp. 2 billion within 6 months, but it did not return until John Kei left prison.
John Kei is said to have gathered his members to discuss the insults carried out by the Nus Kei group through social media. From the results of the meeting, it was determined that on June 17, 2020, John Kei’s party would visit Nus Kei’s house.
The prosecutor said Daniel Far Far gave money to buy iron lead to be used as a spear to attack the Nus Kei group. As well as renting a number of cars with dark glasses to carry out the attack.
On June 21, 2020, John Kei members gathered at the Arcici Sport Center Cempaka Putih to attack. The attack was then carried out at 13.00 WIB which resulted in one of his subordinates being killed, namely Yustus Corwing, while another one, Frengky Rongel, was seriously injured.
