Johan Talsma cancels Forum for Democracy membership: ‘Statements in Purmerend are the last straw’

Johan Talsma from Dokkum has canceled his membership of Forum for Democracy. He made this known in a statement on Twitter and Facebook. Statements that Thierry Baudet recently made were the last straw for the councilor of ELP-NEF in Noardeast-Fryslân.

Talsma has been a member of Forum for Democracy for years and was also on the national list of candidates in recent elections. “These were good times, but everything comes to an end,” writes the entrepreneur from Dokkum.

“What happened last weekend is the proverbial straw for me, I can’t stand it anymore. The statements of the Forum of Democracy in Purmerend are so far beyond my limit that I immediately cancel my membership.”

Forumland

Baudet recently announced that he alludes to his own Forum crypto coin, as part of the ‘Forumland’ with its own media channels that he wants to shape as a pillar. This weekend he went the extra mile in Purmerend by stating that ‘Forumland’ is already really taking shape. There will be an app that is good for crowdfunding, dating and vacancies.

Talsma emphasizes that he was behind the party in good and bad times, but that the break with Wybren van Haga, Hans Smolders and Olaf Ephraim has not left him in the cold clothes. “I really wish Forum for Democracy all the best, but I am no longer a member.”
