BVThe last straight line to Christmas has begun. On Friday evening, JOE DJs Raf & Rani opened the JOE Christmas House on the Grote Markt in the heart of Antwerp. They did not do this alone, because the two were accompanied by Antwerp mayor Bart De Wever and singer Jaap Reesema.
For a month you can visit the JOE Christmas House on the Antwerp Grote Markt. The JOE DJs will be making live radio until January 7 and numerous artists will be visiting. To celebrate the opening of the Christmas House, an interim score for the charity campaign ‘Pakje van je Hart’ was also immediately announced: some 13,861 listeners have already bought a present for a child in poverty. Mayor Bart De Wever only has nice words about the action:
“We cannot forget the spiritual aspect of Christmas. Christmas is the season of ‘getting’, but also of ‘giving’. That’s why I think JOE’s charity campaign ‘Package of your Heart’ is so great. Every child should receive a gift,” said Bart De Wever during the opening of the JOE Christmas House.

‘Package from your Heart’
The final amount of money and end result of the charity campaign ‘Pakje van je Hart’ will be revealed during a special closing show on December 21. Anyone who wants to donate a ‘Parcel from their Heart’ can do so in the coming week at the JOE Christmas House on the Grote Markt in Antwerp, online via the Joe Parcel Shop or via the Joe Parcel Truck that travels throughout Flanders.
Artists such as Gustaph and Samson & Marie
The JOE Christmas House is not only the official headquarters of the Pakje van je Hart charity campaign, it also hosts live radio and hosts many artists. Gustaph, Metejoor, Belle Perez, Hooverphonic, Samson & Marie and Mama’s Jasje, among others, have already confirmed their arrival and will visit in the coming weeks. Exact dates and times are communicated via social media and the JOE website announced.
