Joe Biden won’t visit Ukraine after visit to Poland

White House National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that President Joe Biden’s visit to Europe would be limited to Poland. No other stops, including Ukraine, are planned. Also, the White House has nothing to announce yet about a possible meeting of the American president with Vladimir Zelensky in Europe.

“I have nothing to announce yet about any additional contacts in the context of the upcoming visit of the president to Poland. I can say that he is looking forward to meeting with Polish President Duda and thanking the Polish people for the great support they have given Ukraine,” Mr. Kirby said at the briefing. He added that there are no other stops for the US president in Europe.

In Europe, Joe Biden will deliver a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the launch of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Kirby said. It will be in Poland on February 20-22. The American president will meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda and the leaders of the Bucharest Nine (Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Estonia).

According to diplomatic sources of the Polish edition “Zennik newspaper is right” in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Poland during Joe Biden’s visit.
