They made history by qualifying for the Olympics for the first time and now they prepare to arrive at the summer joust showing off the word Mexico on their uniforms… although several of them were born outside of Mexican lands.

On September 2, 2019, the Mexican Softball Team qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time in history, and one of the characteristics of this squad is that most of the players on this team are born in the United States.

Either because your parents or grandparents were born in Mexico, 17 of the 19 players born in the USA were able to integrate the national team’s roster, achieving that historic ticket, a situation that will be presented in the team that will be in Tokyo.

Danielle Denise O’Toole-Trejo

  • He graduated from the University of Arizona Wildcats in 2016-2017. She was a starting pitcher for two years after being traded from San Diego State Aztecs from 2013-14. She graduated from and was selected No. 8 in the Pro Fastpitch National Draft by the Chicago Bandits, with whom she has played on and off for three seasons. He also played for the United States team before joining the Mexico team.

Taylor Elizabeth McQuillin

  • She attended the University of Arizona, where she was the starting pitcher for the Arizona Wildcats softball team. In her senior year, McQuillin led Arizona softball to a spot in the 2019 Women’s College World Series. After graduating from college, McQuillin was selected # 6 by the National Pro Fastpitch’s Cleveland Comets in the second round of the NPF Draft. 2019.

Dallas Jade Escobedo
